When people ask me what I do for a living, I typically say “I’m in marketing” – which is often met by a blank stare. People want to know what I DO –- and yet their eyes glaze over when I explain that I spend my days doing copywriting, advertising, social media, and search optimization. So lately – to make myself feel a whole lot cooler and increase the chances of actually holding a conversation with someone outside of my profession, I’ve started telling them my job is “Spin”.
